Summary0000401: Only 1 HD Temp sensor detected when using two identical drives
DescriptionI have two Western Digital WD2500KS (250gb) SATAII hard drives, no raid or anything, but still speed fan does not detect the second drive. :(
HD0, but no HD1 >.<
Steps To ReproducePut two WD2500KS in your comp. :)

same problem for me with 2x Samsung SP1614C 160GB SATA on a VIA 8237 controller

Similar problem. Have two different SATA drives on a VIA Raid controller (drives JBOD, not RAID). First SATA drive appears twice as drive 2 and drive 3 in the recognition list in speedfan. Only HD2 is present in the SMART page.

Drives are Maxtor Diamond Plus 9 160GB SATA/150 6Y160M003551A and Maxtor Diamond Plus 10 160GB SATA/150 6L160M013AG1A. Not sure about VIA chip, 8237 sounds familiar (but could be wrong). Driver is viamraid.sys from VIA, v5.1.2600.430.

This is no SpeedFan issue. It's on the driver's side :-(
