| Summary | 0001718: Rampage III Formula, no fan RPM except CPU, all others show zero. Yet able to control them! | ||||
| Description | Speedfan doesn't corrrectly report fan speed for anything other then the CPU fan header. I've tried stable 4.42, as well as beta 4.43 beta 4 through 4.43 beta 6. All these builds have the same problem. CPUID Hardware Monitor correctly identifies all fan speeds. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Reboot, uninstall and reinstall program, try different fans. Everything consistent. | ||||
| Additional Information | Posssibly related to Issue ID 0001662 http://www.bugtrack.almico.com/view.php?id=1662. The Asus Rampage III Formula has a total of 7 fan headers. They are CPU, PWR, Chassis Fan 1-3, and OPT Fan 1-3. Speedfan shows a total of 5 fans. CPU0 Fan shows the correct fan speed. Speedfan also displays "Sys fan", "Aux Fan", "Aux1 Fan", "Aux Fan2". All these fans RPH's reports 0 RPM, even thought fans are connected. Interestingly, changing "Speed02" In the "Readings" Menu" will change Chassis Fans 1-3. It has no effect on any other fan. Changing Speed01 or Speed02 has no effect. I have disabled all Asus Q-Fan support in BIOS, as well as selectiely setting some options enabled. These steps have had no effect. | ||||

I've tried beta 4.43 beta 4 through 4.43 beta 6. All these builds have the same problem. |
