| Description | after scanning the smbus during startup, speedfan begins to hang and is unable to respond to whatever action i do. even killing speedfan through taskmanager is not instant an requires some time. if left alone, the system will hang completely (no mouse or keyboard input possible, music stops playing). | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | every time i start speedfan at exact the same step in scanning for devices. smbdebug runs without any complains. during startup of speedfan the smb is scanned and after that the smart-capable devices. it founds my 1st scsi-disk and then hangs forever... is it possible to deactivate the smart scanning for debugging purposes? just to see if everything works without the smart monitoring? | ||||

Yes, use /NOSMARTSCAN command line parameter. Send me a SEND REPORT (INFO tab) when you manage to start SpeedFan. When SpeedFan hangs, send me DEBUG.NFO file at (alfredo [at] almico.com). |

are there any updates on that issue? is a solution known to that problem? |

If you experience the same issue with SpeedFan 4.34, try to run it with /NOSCSISCAN and let me know. The best way to debug this issue is if you send me an email. |
