Dear Alfredo, I use the same board and it will be great if you include it. SF cannot "Read DIMM info" and scanning of SMBus device also don't work. SF show one core temp correct and one other "fixed" temp (allways 40). If I can help you (maybe you need more info's) please contact me. P.S. Looks like that the monitoring chip is the ITE 8716F |
I read in the changelist for 4.32 - improved support for IT8716F That mean SF general know the sensors. Have you any idea, why SF not work propperly with the M2A-VM ? For your information: Asus Probe can show the voltages, 2 temps and 3 fans. Maybe you can make a beta and I test it on my system. |

Dear Alfredo, I would be very happy if this mainboard/chipset supported by the next version. Your Speedfan is much much better than the crapy Asus Probe which takes lot of resources. This mainboard is currently one of the best choices for Home Theater PC for low power consumtion and silency and will by widely used. For your info: 1. The mainboard can control CPU-FAN via DC or PWM (Asus calls it Q-Fan) 2. Temperature display: Speedfan 4.32: Temp1: 40C Core: 16C Asus Probe: Mainboard: 46C CPU: 37C Thanks, |
M2A-VM without HDMI seems to be identical for speedfan purposes. |

Just adding my voice to this request here. Problem with this MB is that for some reason Asus did not implement their (normally excellent) Q-Fan speed control for the chassis-fans, but only for the CPU fan. Thanks for the great software! |
Test with 4.33 beta 9. The same as with 4.32 |
Please, use the SEND REPORT facility on the INFO tab and then send me a reminder at alfredo [at] almico.com. I will add support for your motherboard. |
I think I have a beta ready for you. Just contact me by email. |
I've sent you the report and the email. Waiting for your beta... :) Thank you very much Alfredo. |
Sent! |

Tested and working fine! :) I've sent my complete feedback by email. Good job! :) |

The latest beta, available on http://www.almico.com/sfbetaprogram.php , adds full support for this motherboard. |
