| Description | I am now using Gigabyte GA-M55S-S3 (rev 2.0) and the sensor chipset is ITE IT8716. However, speedfan detected as IT8712, which make all fan speed are wrong (it will display 345xxx rpm) and also the temp and voltage display have problem. | ||||

This is true. I have the Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 rev 1.1. It also uses the IT8716 but SpeedFan 4.32 detects it as the IT8712. More specifically, the chip on the M57SLI-S4 is IT8716F-S |

My ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe also has the 8716 (reported as 8712) and displays RPM's much higher than they actually are (270000 RPM instead of 400 RPM) Also only 3 fan speeds are found (my previous ASUS A8N-SLI which had the 8712 only had 3 fan headers) there are actually 5 available on this board and visible in ASUS PCProbe. |
