Summary0000720: Unable to use i/o
DescriptionAnother "Unable to use i/o" problem.
Each time i launche the soft, the program show the "Unable to use i/o"...

I tried to run the soft with the administrator rights, it changed nothing.
I tried to find how to launch the performance counter but i didn't find how to.

My motherboard is a biostar 6100-939 with a chipset nforce 4 430. I think i could be the windows default driver for the smu o smbus. But the latest nvidia driver for the rc1 didn't work... even i can't fin a device name smbus :p.

The author of speedfan, do you know how to fix the problem ? my fans made me crazzzzzzzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !!! :)

I spent hours trying to find a final word about which certificate I should buy to sign the driver. Any hint? In the meantime you might use the F8 key at boot.

Under Vista 64 bit you need to use F8 at boot. Anyway: I just paid the $$$ needed for a certificate to sign the driver. I hope I purchased the right thing as even MS seems to be unable to give a final answer on this :-)

when you speak about the F8 : what i had to do : boot in a safe mode or normal ? Every time, just for the installation ?
can you explain to me ?
Thanks

Boot options should include one that avoids drivers' signing checks. Anyway: I hope to receive the certificate in a couple of days. It should fix this issue for ever.

I'm afraid you have to use F8 at each boot, but I suggest you to wait, with me, for the certificate that will fix this issue :-)

I purchased the certificate (I hope it's the correct one). Now I'm downloading the DVD where there should be a few KB of tools needed to sign the driver. Hopefully I will be able to try to sign the driver tomorrow late in the evening (italian time).
