| Description | I noticed today using 4.31 (and 4.32 beta8) that when pushing the button for an online analysis I get wrong info and a completely different HDD model. I dont know if this is server side or client side issue but I am not using any proxies and I dont even have the mentioned disk. My HDD is a Seagate 500 SATA (ST3500641AS, FW:3.AAD) but the online report says: Your hard disk is a Maxtor 6B160P0 with firmware BAH41B10.And all other SMART data have nothing to do with what the Speedfan UI. | ||||

You are looking at the default (sample) report. If you use the button on SpeedFan's SMART tab and still get that page, most likely you are using some kind of proxy, firewall or other interfering tool that is silently doing things it shouldn't. |

This happens to me if my default browser is Firefox. It works if the default browser is Internet Explorer. |

This is the first time that I get such a report. I will investigate, but since I do nothing IE specific, this sounds to me as a Firefox issue. |

I found out what the problem was. You need to allow cookies from hddstatus.com. If you don't, you get the default report. |
