Summary0000600: SpeedFan unable to read mobo data after launching MMO
DescriptionHi,

after little configuration I got SpeedFan working on my computer. It works great, but for one thing. As soon as I start an MMO I play (PristonTale) SpeedFan will stop reading Fan speeds, Voltages and Temperatures of CPU and MB. The HD temps will still show correctly.

I've tested other games like Quake 4, RB6: Lockdown, Freelancer and C&C Generals. These other games will not cause the same problem. After reading the open issues I've tried /NONVIDIAI2C on the command line as suggested in regards to another gaming related issue. But this makes no difference unfortunately.

I was wondering if there have been similar reports? The log looks like this:

It will continue to log the same errors until I exit SPeedFan and start it up again. At which point all is back to normal.

I know this is low prio, but any hints or suggestions are very welcome. If you need more information, please let me know.

Best regards,
Willem

This happens to me also when I play a game called Maple Story. I think they both use nProtect's GameGuard. FYI, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gameguard
I think the anti-cheat software messes with memory, and then speedfan messes up. Let me know if you need more information.
