DescriptionHave tried 4.28 and 4.29 beta 7 with the same result.

Speedfan launches and displays the following error in the status window.

ERROR collecting CPU Usage : 1 (Unable to locate the "Processor" performance object)
Unable to use I/O

Additional InformationHardware config

Shuttle SN95G5 (MB is FN95?!)
1GB Corsair RAM
Western Digitial 74GB Raptor SATA HD
AGP Nvidia 6600 GT and PCI Nvidia 5200

Speedfan functioned fine on XP Pro but can't get it to work on the latest Vista Beta release. Tried google but to no avail :(

I'm checking Vista. I will find the fix.

I discovered that you need to run SpeedFan as an administrator under Windows Vista in order to see CPU Usage. By the way: running SpeedFan as an administrator enables SMART monitoring too.
