| Summary | 0000574: CPU fan speed changing to 100 on its own. | ||||
| Description | I have the CPU fan speed set to 50. For some reason I see the CPU fan speed jump to 100 on its own. Now matter what I do, I can't get the CPU fan speed to stay at 50. The temps are fine staying at 48. My MB is Asus A8N32-SLI | ||||

Please, make sure that no other temperature is linked to that fan speed by entering CONFIGURE / TEMPERATURES and looking at checked speeds for each temperature. |

I double checked the settings and everything seems right. Take a look at this screen shot. It looks like some other tool is changing fan speeds. If you have more than one controller, SpeedFan can't do its job. If it done by the internal logic of the hardware monitoring chip, all you might need to do is enter CONFIGURE / ADVANCED and change PWM MODE to MANUAL or SOFTWARE CONTROLLED. |

Yep that did it. I had to change it to software controlled. Excellent program and greater support ! Thanks again ! |
