Summary | 0000572: No CPU Fan Reading
Description | When I load Speedfan I do not get a reading for the CPU fan. The only reading I get is for the case fan. When I go into the BIOS, I can see the CPU fab speed and the case fan speed. I don't know why Speed fan in not able to read the CPU Fan speed. any suggestions ? Thanks

You might need to enter CONFIGURE / ADVANCED and select a higher FAN DIVISOR (usually 4 or 8 do the trick). That value depends on the speed of the fan. The lower its speed, the higher the FAN DIVISOR. |
|
That seems to have done it. When the RPM is 3000 or less, Speedfan shows the speed as 0. When it goes above 4000, it shows the speed. Thanks. |

If you use the REMEMBER IT option in CONFIGURE / ADVANCED, SpeedFan will apply the setting whenever needed. |
