Description | I have a ASUS A7N8X-X with nforce2 chipset, and I think that the cpu temperature is incorrectly detected by speedfan, because the bios hardware monitor shows that my CPU temperature is 50 | ||||

There are so many versions of your motherboard out there... Basically, if yours have got the W83L785TS-S then that's the right temp to use. If you haven't got it, then you might search the web as I've seen a lot of discussion on this topic. Consider that SpeedFan can only report the temps reported by the hardware monitoring chips. If there has to be a manual offset, then this should be entered by hand. A future version of SpeedFan will allow this. Last but not least: the BIOS often reports a higher CPU temp because it does not use the HALT function. |
