Summary0000444: Shuts off fans
DescriptionStarting speedfan either shuts off my fans or lowers their rpms to a point where i can no longer hear them, causes computer to overheat, and computer will not POST until it has been unplugged for a minute or so.

Computer is a stock Sony Vaio VGC-RB52,
Dual Core 2.8ghz
1024MB RAM
Integrated Graphics, sound, LAN.
Steps To Reproduce1. Open up program.
Additional InformationAlso prevents intel's hardware monitor from functioning even after being closed.

I'm not sure what sort of hardware monitoring chip is installed. How would i find this out?

Please, use the UPLOAD FILE facility on this page to post here the result of the SEND REPORT button on SpeedFan's INFO tab.
By the way: Intel Active Monitor collides with SpeedFan. On my two Intel Server Boards I removed it to use SpeedFan alone.
You might simply need to set, in CONFIGURE / ADVANCED, REVERSE PWM LOGIC to TRUE. You need this option if your fans stop at 100% and run full speed at 0%.
