It does not depends on SpeedFan. Unfortunately, a lot of motherboard manufacturers are not using the standard circuitry. Furthermore, not all fans react to PWM the same way. This causes non linear responses on a lot of different systems. This non linearity is so different from system to system that it's almost impossible for me to code something to make it seem linear to the end user.

I think that I haven't been clear enough, so I've done some Excel simulations to explain you the purpose of this tweak. I sent them at alfredo@almico.com, under the subject BUG 0000043.

The purpose of this tweak is to avoid the CPU fan speed to oscillate around the desired T

I see :-)
I'm sorry for having misunderstood.
I will add a new fan control strategy in the future, but it won't be a TEMP->RPM relationship, but a TEMP->PWM SETTING one.
Anyway: the final result will be really similar to what you're asking for :-)

Excellent ! That's exactly it, that will be a nice step forward.
Again, thanks a lot, your software is great !
