Summary0000041: Fan speed not reduced until temps fluctuate
DescriptionFan speed(s) are not reduced until the monitored temperature is detected as 'dropping'. This means that, for example, booting a cold system will run the CPU fan(s) at the maximum speed until the CPU temperature *drops*. This can be quite a while (several minutes and up).
Steps To Reproduce1. Set a reasonable target CPU temperature (say, 45c) and set the corresponding fan at minimum: 5% maximum: 100% auto-variated
2. Ensure that the settings are saved, and power off the system
3. Wait an hour or so for the machine to cool down completely
4. Boot the machine and start SpeedFan
5. Observe the temperatures and fan speeds. The fan will run at 100% until the temperature 'crests'; only then will the fan speed be reduced.

This is by design. I'm working on a new strategy, but, currently, it works this way. Anyway: if your temperature is not decreasing with higher fan speeds, then it is likely that it would raise if fan speeds are lowered.
