| Description | Halp! At first this looked like it was going to be easy... I installed 4.26 of SpeedFan, and right away I got the temperature of something. But the temperature never changed. Only when I reboot my computer does the number change. So eventually I suspected maybe I wasn't configured properly. It was amazing to me that SpeedFan could somehow figure out where everything was on my computer and automatically configure itself. But I was willing to accept that gratefully, if it worked. But, as I said, the temperature figure never changed. So then I looked into GET CONFIG and did all the things I was told to do. I eventually got to a list of all "known boards", hoping to find my board there. But under Compaq, there were only three computers listed, and only one of them was Presario. But it was the Presario 8000. I have a Presario 1700. So, in despeation I tried downloading the configuration for the Presario 80000. It seems to have downloaded, but the behavior is still the same. I get a temperature number, but it only changes when the computer is rebooted. Any help anybody can provide would be much appreciated. SpeedFan can access a lot of hardware, but some manufacturers are using custom, closed source, solutions. I try to add support for as many of them as possible. It looks like your hardware is still unknown to SpeedFan. You might send me a SEND REPORT (there is a button on the INFO tab) and then drop me an email so that I can have a look at it. |
