Summary | 0000349: fan speed command line switches
Description | it would be great if there were some basic switches to control speeds, like "c:\program files\speedfan.exe" /fan=1 /speed=60 of course the switches would be only applicable to speeds not configured from the UI. primary objective of that would be the possibility controlling any of the fan connectors voltage the easy way.

Because of the way SpeedFan runs, a command line switch would not be viable. I'm working on something similar. I think my idea will be quite interesting when implemented. |

A command line switch or an option to start SpeedFan with fans at zero % would be very welcome. It takes SpeedFan about 20 minutes to slow them down every morning when I boot if the CPU is not very much sollicited. The temperature is slowly going up and SpeedFan does not take them down while the temperature is going up (as I learned). The trick is to sollicit the CPU for a while to speed up the process or to take the fans to zero manually at every boot which is a bit awkward. Thank you. |
