I think it's not the new speedfan version, it's happening since I've enabled Hyperthreading in BIOS.

If I start Speedfan with the option /NONVIDIAI2C everything seems to be fine.

You are right: that switch fixes the issue. Perhaps, HT increases the chances of a collision with some other tool accessing the video card. I plan to do some testing in the (very) near future to find a workaround to this issue. Unfortunately, on my system (with an nVidia video card with hardware monitoring capabilities), it never happened and this makes the whole thing more difficult to track down.

I just wrote some code for you to try. If you drop me an email at alfredo [at] almico.com, I will send the latest beta to you. Please, contact me using an email address that can receive a 1MB ZIP file containing an EXE :-)

What about the latest beta?
Did you experience any 50% CPU usage?
Here in Italy we use to say "no news, good news". Is it the same for you? :-)

In deed, in this case no news are good news.

Great!
Keep me informed.
I think I will release this fix in the forthcoming SpeedFan 4.26.

According to several reports, I'm closing this issue marking it as FIXED. I will still appreciate an email from you with an update about the stability of the latest beta :-)
