The error ocurrs some hours after I turn on the PC, when I pass the mouse pointer over the speedfan tray icon (that shows the current temperature) the error dialog appears and repeats over and over until I finalize the speedfan.exe process using task manager.

In order to narrow down this issue, could you run SpeedFan with the /NONVIDIAI2C command line switch so that it won't access your video card? Do you still get the error?

Alfredo, I'm now using SpeedFan with suggested command line and the error is gone.

Did you experience this issue even with the latest versions of SpeedFan, including latest betas?
