DescriptionI have a Leadtek A6200TD AGP card with modified bios to show GPU temperature on NVidia control panel and also in RivaTuner. GPU temperature is not detected in Speedfan 4.23 version.

Chipset: nforce2
Additional InformationGeforce 6200 AGP version has the same gpu as 6600 gt and the method which works for 6600GT should work for A6200 too.

I'm sorry, I can't remember if I already sent to you the latest beta. One of my email accounts, all of a sudden started working again (after one year) and a background process downloaded 45000 emails. I spent the whole day removing spam from it (about 99%...). I can hardly remember my name :-)

I see... Unfortunately, your video card uses the internal temperature probe. I don't have the datasheets (nVidia never answered any email of mine) to know where to read those temps. I'm investigating. I hope to find the way.

When you get readings out of 6600 cards from SpeedFan, you are actually seeing the ones available through additional sensors and not the readings from the ones available on the chipset itself.

The Leadtek AGP 6200 did not come with a temperature sensor accessibility right away. I had to modify the bios using NiBiTor to match what is done for 6600GT. And the modification is for GPU temperature sensor only, not for any onboard external sensor. Generally cards which do have external sensors on them support temperature sensing right away and does not need such modifications on the Bios. Such cards also incorporate changing of the GPU fan speed based on GPU temperature which my card does not have.

What I found different from the cards which have external sensors is that mine does not show the external ambient temperature. So your theory may be right for this card.

We are saying the same thing :-)
SpeedFan is currently unable to access that sensor on the 6200 just like it is unable on the 6600. If the manufacturer adds some external chip to monitor fan speeds and temperatures, SpeedFan will be able to access it.
