Summary | 0002079: Speed fan is not detecting CPU temperatures - Opteron 6212
Description | My old processors, 6120 Opteron reported CPU temperature correctly, however with the upgrade to 6212's the internal CPU temperature is no longer being reported. There of course is now a 6300 series as well now. PC Meter along with Windows gadget All CPU Meter can report this information, so it is still available, perhaps at a slightly different address in the chip?
Steps To Reproduce | Run Opteron 6212 processors.
Additional Information | I don't mind trying test-software on my machine, or if it helps, the identical motherboard with the 6120's on it, I turned the old processors into a new server machine. It's running Linux, but if necessary I can probably make a quick Window s boot image for it.
