Summary | 0001816: SpeedFan can only blip fans
Description | After a scratch and reload, SpeedFan can only control fan speeds for a few seconds, after which the fans drop down to idle, and only pick up when the CPU reaches 60°C. The motherboard uses a IT8712F chip, but the help file was unable to help.

If this happens, most likely some other software is fighting against SpeedFan's attempt to control fans. |

Okay, I attached a text file with the report. As for software conflicts, it is a fresh install, with the only other software installed being wireless card drivers and Firefox. I have not installed motherboard drivers yet. What sort of software would cause a conflict? Edit: It also seems to go to default speeds when SpeedFan refreshes the fanspeed readings. For example, as soon as Fan1 reads: 4327 rpm, the rpm drops. |
