Summary | 0001648: EP45-UD3P not able to control fan in 3-pin PWR fan slot
Description | Hi everyone I am having a problem where i cannot control the fan in the PWR_FAN Slot. It should be controlled by Speed 03, but Speed 03 seems to be controling the CPU fan which at the same time is being controlled by Speed 01 so they both change CPU fan speed instead of one of my front fans. The fan that cannot be controlled is running at full speed which is not ideal and is shown by the RPM reading which is working fine. Hopefully someone can help me cheers Alex

The PWR_FAN connector is never intended to allow fan control. It's purpose is to read the fan speed of the power supply fan (PWR_FAN = Power [Supply] Fan). Use the CPU_FAN and SYS_FAN2 connectors to control your fans. If necessary, use one or two Y-cables to connect multiple fans to one connector. |
