| Description | Failed install on Win7 X64 Ultimate Downloaded SpeedFan 4.41 beta 5 and the product will not install even with compatibility set to XP-SP3, User limited run with elevated privileges all I get is a dialog box stating XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Error as title Messeage: Runtime error 217 at 004DB7E0 and an Ok button xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I have previously installed and used latest release version with no problems. Please note this is a fresh install of Windows 7, it is only possibly 3-4 days old. | ||||

Perhaps you missed the instructions on the download page (did you download the beta from ALMICO.COM?). The beta is an EXE replacement. |

Installed release version. Then ran the EXE again and it ran. Copied the EXE over to Program Files, works to. But as a fresh install the download does not work(installation) http://www.almico.com/sfbetaprogram.php Mentions NO note that it is EXE replacement, even when I look for that info. Confused me any way, will confuse many, perhapses you could put up both variates. |

Please, read carefully "In order to run this beta, simply install SpeedFan 4.40, then replace the EXE and then run SpeedFan as usual.". Anyway, I'm happy to see that everything is ok now. |
