My MSI P55-GD80 also uses a Fintek F71889. I'll check for the detected chip if it is in fact the same issue... My problem (all ready sent a report from within sf440): 4 fans detected, Speedfan fan 4 not registering rpm nor control speed of any header (sysfan3&4). Furthermore CPUFAN (=fan1) doesn't do 0 rpm when set to 0% (Seen that on other MB, not really an issue). |

The problem is that Fintek uses exactly the same 5 byte ID for both chips. I'm going to find a way to properly identify them. |
