| Description | I just installed a new case fan in. I am unable to control the speed of it though. I heard that i need to set the PWM mode to Software controled, but I dont know which chip to choose in advance and I dont know which PWM mode to choose. I know it is hard to say without having my Mobo, but let me know which information you need and I will provide it. | ||||

When I go into configure to set PWM to software control, I am not sure which Chip to choose. Here are the options: Geforce IT8720F at $228 ISA HD0.. HD1.. AMD K10 I choose the second because its the only one with the PWM Mode option. It has three PWM modes but all just change the speed of my CPU Fan. Any ideas? |

Select IT8720F The one with SmarGuardian is your CPU, try changin the others to Software Controlled. On Fans tab select which fan is controlled by which Speed, you can name them for ease of setting. Then manipulate the Speed settings in main windows to see the change. And why are you writing it here, anyway? It's not a bug, it's just a question... |
