|0001467||SpeedFan||Fan control||public||2009-09-03 21:36||2011-04-09 13:43|
|Platform||x64||OS||Windows||OS Version||7 RTM|
|Product Version||4.40 beta|
|Target Version||Fixed in Version||4.44 beta|
|Summary||0001467: Missing some fan speeds and voltages|
|Description||Three fan speeds appear on the Speeds screen. The first one is the fan at the rear of my case. While I can change it's speed there is nothing on the Readings screen that shows it and it's RPM.|
The second fan is my CPU fan and that appears along with it's RPM. I can change speeds. Everything appears to be normal.
The third fan is in the bottom front of my case. I can't do anything with this fan and it doesn't display at all on the Readings screen.
In my BIOS the first two fans appear along with their RPM's. But every other program I tried under windows 7 only shows the CPU fan just like SF.
Also, only three voltages appear on the main screen; Vcore, +12v, and AVcc. Shouldn't there be others?
I also can't do anything with my video card. It's detected but that's about it.
|Steps To Reproduce||n/a|
|Additional Information||My computer is an Asus Model CG5290. It uses a slightly stripped down version of their Rampage II GENE motherboard. I can tell this by comparing my actual board with the manual for the retail board. |
I had to set PWM to manual in order to control fan speeds.

I sent you an Everest debug report on my sensors. There is much more information in the everest report than in Speedfan. There is an additional fan speed CHA_FAN2 which is my rear fan and is missing in SF as are some of the voltages.
Hope this helps you out.

|Alfredo, is my problem going to go unacknowledged forever?|

Streetwolf, I have the similar problem on my Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 MB with IT8718F chip (while you, likely, have F71882F one on your MB), WinXP SP3 installed. All 3 FAN RPMs are displayed fine in BIOS, but only 2 of them are displayed in SpeedFan window. The Sys_Fan2 measurment are 0 RPM all the time, nevertheless any settings done for "mult/div" parameters on "Advanced" tab, and although Sys_Fan2 speed is fine controlled by SpeedFan. It seems that either BIOS receives some RPM measurments from another sources/chips, not recognized by SpeedFan, or there are some "tiny" issues preventing SpeedFan from reading this data correctly.
|Please, enter CONFIGURE / ADVANCED and set FANx DIVISOR to 8 or 16.|
