| Description | After using Speedfan, all other SMART tools I tried (Everest, Astra32, ACE Lab S.M.A.R.T. vision utility, HDDScan) showed similar problem until system is restarted.
It happens with an old Gigabyte Pentium 4 mainboard (socket 478, SiS chipset) and a 60GB Seagate hard disk (ST360021A).
Version 4.38 works OK. |

| Additional Information | I'm sorry but I don't remember the mainboard model (I made a report with Everest, but I forgot to copy it on my pendrive and I already delivered the PC to my client). If it's of any help, it reported that "support for that chip had been improved on that version" on Spedfan startup. |
