| Description | I can see you made some progress on this sensor chip for the P5Q and can now control the CPU fan speed, is it possible you could look into the problem for the Maximus II formula? In comparison to v4.39, it only shows 3 fan speed control options, but in the newest beta, it shows only 3. More options appear in the PWM control options too, but have set them all to manual as Alfredo has suggested, but it hasn't worked. | ||||

Sorry, I meant to say in 4.39 it shows 4 speed controls (not 3), they are labelled CPU, Aux and Sys, and in version 4.4 B5 it only shows 3. If you go to the advanced tab, it also only shows 3 'PWM mode/type/base freq/reverse logic' options, yet there are 5 fan divisor/div/mult options. I managed to get a datasheet for this winbond chip, although I assume you succeeded too? If not, feel free to mail me and I'll post it to you. |

OK, just for the sake of comparison, I got hold of a P5Q-deluxe, and I can't control the CPU fan speed here either so it seems there is a problem with my installation (speedfan/windows). Are there any files other than the program files speedfan directory I should delete? Any other suggestions? |

I have a P5q-deluxe as well and I am unable to control cpu speed with the 4.40 beta 5 and 4.39 speedfan versions. Update: I changed some PWM fan modes to Manual* and I can now adjust the CPU and chassis fan speeds! This is using the Beta 5 version. |
