Summary0001446: Speed and RPM not matching
DescriptionI notice this mostly on my Fan2 which is my case fan. I know it happens with my cpu fan as well, but since that fan is always adjusting it's not as much of a problem. I have the fan2 set to 100% because I want the case fan to constantly be pulling hot air out of the back. Now even though the speed always sits at 100% the actual RPM will drop to like half-way and speedfan won't "fix" the speed because it already thinks the fan is running at 100%. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks

Nobody can help at all? I can hardly run speedfan at all anymore because I'm always having to fix it. I've already tried to uninstall/reinstall and still the same thing.

Is automatic fan speed checked?

If the speed changes without SpeedFan's intervention, this means that there is some other tool that is overriding SpeedFan's standard behaviour. You can't have two different controllers for the same thing, otherwise this kind of thing happens.
Did you enter CONFIGURE / ADVANCED and change PWM MODE to MANUAL or SOFTWARE CONTROLLED?

PWM1 and PWM2 are both set to software controlled. And no, I don't have any other controller tool running. Unless bios is kicking in and taking over that I'm not aware of? Also, (might be misunderstanding you) but I only have On/Off, Software, Smartguardian when I check the PWM mode. Also, I have 4.39 now when I did the reinstall.

If you don't see any change in SPEED % but the fan slows down, then there is something else that is controlling it. Is there any BIOS option?
