Summary | 0001445: Extra fan power
Description | Hi all. I have the Gigabyte 965P-Dq6 motherboard. Speedfun works great. The situation is that i want to add a 2nd Graphic card to have crossfire. The motherboard has only one power connector for 1 vga fan.For the 2nd graphic card i will have to use this connector to split for the 2 graphic cards or i will have to use molex power adaptor for the fan of the 2nd graphic card. My question is , will the cpufan program be able to read temperatures and change fan speeds accordingly. If yes ,in which of the above two situtaions? As you can see in my attached screenshot there are 3 fan power connectors. 1. Pwr_Fan = It is for a big fan in the pc box.It doesnt seem that speedfan alters its r.p.m. so i quess i cannot use it. 2. Cpu Fan = as the name says it is used for the cpu fan. 3. Sys_Fan = This is used for the vga fan and this is the power fan connector i wonder if i can use for 2 cpu fans Thank you for reading this. Regards , The_Observer.

This is bugtracker! Where is a bug?? |
|
Alas. You are right. Excuse my mistake. :( |
|
@ Karlson2k: The site (http://www.almico.com/forumindex.php) tells us to come here: "You can access the bug tracking system to search through known issues and to ask for specific help." He is asking for "specific help". If you don't want to help him then just ignore the message but there is no need to be negative. @ the_observer : What card do you have? Where is the first Graphic card fan attached? On most cards the fan is read thru the PCI bus not a separate fan connector. I do not have two Graphic cards so I cant tell you if SpeedFan works, but you should not need a fan connector. I get temp but no fan for my nvidia: GeForce 8800 GT. infact, I didn't know you could read/control a GPU fan. |
