Summary0001444: Speedfan crash on launch
DescriptionFirst attempt to run immediately after installing SpeedFan, while running several programs (Outlook, ImgBurn, VirtuaWin, others) --> system crash (screen went blank, no response to keyboard input, hard to hard reboot).

Second attempt, after restarting, with few programs running --> will not start, brings up Microsoft crash report dialog, and shows a popunder window that says, "Runtime error 217 at 004DA244".
Steps To ReproduceAttempt to start Speedfan.

I'm having the same problem. one difference: It WAS working well, could I have changed something - I have been tuning the PC. is there a necessary "service" I might have stopped?

An error 217 popup window, usually means that SpeedFan is not properly installed. Please, try to reinstall it.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. no change, wont execute.
