no i have downloaded 3 times the archives. This archive work well on my netbook (Acer Aspire One) |

When you see the error dialog, please, don't close that dialog and go to SpeedFan's directory. Upload DEBUG.NFO file here. This way I will be able to see where did SpeedFan stop. |

Yes i run as Administrator (detected by the Speed Fan installer) No log file (debug.nfo) is created sorry. Speedfan crash immediately ! |

There are other tickets like this one on this system and it looks like that the issue was always specific to the system. Did you have a look at them? |

yes. But i dont find a solution... Something is strange, older versions (< 4.30) are working. Is it possible to start your software with a command line, like -debug ? It's possible that my version of windows has a problem (missing dll) but with no log it's difficult to resolve the problem. |

SpeedFan already outputs debug messages to that file starting quite early during its execution. It might be something related to WMI. Anyway: almost everything is checked for its presence and therefore my guess is that when such an error arises it is because of something else being broken and not properly or completely installed. |

OK. But why did older versions work ? Do you want a log of an older version of speedfan ? |

What is the full error message? Are there any associated events in the event viewer? |

Full error message: Runtime error 216 at 004440BE. It's every time the same message. I have tested the beta version. In event log: Type de l' |

Just to be safe please see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259279 This may be caused by a virus. What Operating system do you use? |

I use Windows XP SP3 Home I have checked my registry: no virus, no trojan. |

I suggest that you download and run HijackThis. Go to "http://us.trendmicro.com/us/home/index.html" and under FOR HOME select free tools. Select HijackThis and read the info and download/run the setup. Run HijackThis to do a system scan and save a log file. when the scan is finished click on Send Log To TrendMicro. select one of the many sites that provide free analysis and join the forum and post your log. The members will an analyze it and suggest how to fix any problems. This may not find the problem but it gives a clean starting place to work from. |
