Update: I have found that speedfan does not always detect correct monitor chip. It somtimes detects an IT8714F and when this happens, CPU fan is incorrectly reported and configuration is lost. System is rebooted until correct chip is detected (IT 8720F). Correct configuration is returned. Sometimes takes 2 or three reboots.
