Summary0001257: since setting cpu clock speeds = low 100 high 166 unable to boot into windows
DescriptionInstalled speedfan 4.35 on the A7N8X 2.0 deluxe system and "stupidly" set the parameters beyond the clock speed I knew I could not surpass in the bios (ie. working max was 144 and set to 166-within cpu range however, have not been able to get past 144 in the past year). Anyway now the system will post through the BIOS but on booting into windows end with reboot (tried safe mode at cmd prompt but same thing also reduced speed in bios to 100 same thing). I suspect speedfan is taking over on windows install and attempting to run at 166 hence the "NO GO" and reboot. No hardware changes to system from that noted in my signature for this system.

If SpeedFan is not started automatically at boot it can't change anything. If you set it to start at boot, use any utility to delete *.cfg files from speedfan.exe's directory and everything will be fixed.
