Summary0001169: Access to SpeedFan cfg files under limited accounts
DescriptionInstalled SpeedFan on the default directory under an Administrator Account. Now when I run it under a limited account, SpeedFan can't save it's configuration. The user doesn't have access to the ".cfg" files being used by SpeedFan.
Additional InformationWriting those files to somewhere inside the %AllUserProfile% or the %UserProfile% folders would solve this problem.

A temporary solution to this problem is. Entering an Administrator account, and while there, give write access to the Users group on the folder which SpeedFan is installed. But SpeedFan can't read HDD SMART data under this type of account. I guess that too is restricted for those users.

I'm sorry. I thought I already answered, but, most likely, I opened the browser then diverted to something else :-)
Anyway: my answer would have been exactly what you stated.
