Summary | 0001155: System tray icon cannot be hidden |
---|
Description | Using Windows XP customize notifications, I have set the Speedfan tray icon to 'always hide'. However, each time I restart the machine the icon reappears. I can see several entries in the 'Past items' area for Speedfan, but on restart a new tray icon appears which can be hidden for that session only. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Right click on Start menu. Select Properties. Select Taskbar tab. Under 'Notification Area' click the 'Customize' button. On the icon for Speedfan, select 'Always Hide'. Click 'OK' and exit. The icon is hidden.
Restart the machine - the icon reappears. Repeating the process above will hide the icon again, until the machine is restarted. |
