Did you contact Asus to know which fan can be controlled? |

According to your Motherboard manual at least 2 case fans can be controlled. Have you tried to connect the fans with all 3 pins to the motherboard? Are you using a 3pin or 4pin fan on the CPU_FAN header? Why did you connect any fan cables to the PSU? |

Hi supposed all of them can be controlled. 1) Cpu_fan: 4 pin connector (connected with 3pin, 4 pin converter needed to control ('ve read on forum). But not nessecarry to me atm. 2) Pow_fan: to connect power fan 3) Case_fan1: cannot controle (yet) 4) Case_fan2: Graka fan can be controlled. Graka fan is connected with 3 pin black - red - white. Case_fan2: Case fan cannot be controlled. Case fan is connected to 4 pin powersupply and to mainbord with single cable empty - empty - yellow => or is the fan power by the mainbord? I thought impossible because its a single cable into a 3 pin connector. 4 pin to PWS = power 1 pin to MB = control |

On the case fan headers only 3pin fans can be controlled and all 3pins have to be connected to the motherboard. I also believe that you should try and remove the fan from the CPU_FAN header because on other Asus Boards connecting a fan here (not PWM) will block the control over the other headers. |

So a fan can only be controlled if and only if it's connected to the MB with a 3 pin connector. I have a thermaltake Tsunami with 2 120 mm fans. They have big 4 pin connector witch goes to the powersupply and a single cable into a 3 pin connector for the mainboard. So i thought the cable to the mainboard is for the controlling? Or is the single cable to the mainboard is only for the speed monitoring? Why you need to monitor speed if you can't control the fan? lol So the speed of the fan is can only be controlled through the power delivered to it? Thanks in advance for any help |

I think i've found it! The single cabale to the MB is only for fanspeed monitoring...? You could use a 4pin to 3pin adapter to connect the fans to the motherboard. Then, you should be able to control them but monitoring will probably not work. |

I think that such an adapter would certainly still allow fan speed reporting, if the original 4-pin adapter had this info. |
