| Summary | 0001113: cannot effect on cpu fan speed | ||||
| Description | Asus P5KC motherboard (W83627DHG) and Nexus XiR-2300 cooler. 4 pin, connected to cpu connector. The cooler does not seem to follow speedfan at all. Speedfan fan speed percentages drop but speed keeps rising. Cpu temp keeps steady 37c at the beginning. After half an hour, speed has reached 2500-2600 and after that cpu power rises slightly to 40c (idle all the time). It seems that fan disturbes the airflow, so cpu temp starts to rise. If i remove the cover fan slows down. Speed starts to rise even if you put your hand 2 inches away from fan, and if you put cover back on the, speeding starts again. With Intel stock cooler everything worked nice, it was just too loud. Nexus is real silent, but makes almost same noise as stock cooler when rotating 2600rpm. | ||||

Case fan increases/decreases speed normally |

Enter CONFIGURE / ADVANCED and set PWM MODE to MANUAL. |
|
|
Remember that, rarely, fan speed logic is reversed (fan speeds raises when SPEED lowers). In CONFIGURE / ADVANCED you can reverse this behaviour. |
