Summary | 0001107: Event email and popup issues
Description | 1) For email address, you convert more than one '@' to '%', which disables the ability to send emails to multiple addresses which can be very useful. 2) On events, "Allow every" should by default have some reasonable minimum. I had these set to 0 and it began shooting off emails and popups one after another non-stop. 3) ALSO, I had to set the "Allow every" value in the config files (after exiting SpeedFan). When I changed them on the Configure page it kept reverting back to 0. 4) Finally, you may also want to include computer name (and possibly IP addresses of PC) when sending out email alerts to account for multiple PCs running SpeedFan.

1) emails are currently configured to be sent to a single email address. 2) there is no reason to force a lower limit for that parameter. Some other user might need to configure it using 0. 3) double check the online article about how to configure events. You were doing changes without saving them. 4) I think this is a useful suggestion. Thank you. |
