Summary0001067: Speedfan never reduces fan speed
DescriptionSince upgading to V 4.33, Speedfan no longer reduces fan speed.

It increases the fan speeds when necessary but I have to manually reduce the speeds. After manually reducing the speeds Speedfan does not increase them until necessary so it is working somewhat.

It doesn't matter what desired temperatures are set and I have even set everything to ridiculous temperatures.

I also have this issue with version 4.33

Please, make sure that only the temperatures that you want are linked to any speed. Sometimes a new release is able to find a new temperature and this is automatically linked to every speed.

I have this problem too with the beta 38. Sometimes the automatic speed never slow down, you need to set the desired speed manualy

I also have this issue with version 4.33 and latest beta 38...
But, in my case, it seems to be visible only when activating any speed sensor for controling the temperature of my laptop's internal HD which quickly tends to be hot in high cpu load situations...

To be more precise, it seems now that my HD temperature can be controlled automatically only by an unused (elsewhere) speed fan (speed sensor)
I have to control 3 temps (CPU, Local, and HD0 (my laptop's hard disk)) but I have only to speeds (pwms). This configuration works well automatically:

CPU --> speed1
Local--> speed2
HD0 --> --none--

But when I want to cool the inside of my laptop case (and the disk), I can't use speed1 and/or speed2 to control HD0's temp:
With that configuration:
CPU --> speed1
Local --> speed2
HD0 --> speed1 and/or speed2

then, none of the speed are variated down... as they are already used by CPU or Local!

BUT this configuration is well variated down:
CPU --> speed1
Local --> --none--
HD0 --> speed2

So this seems to be related with the harddisk's temperature control...
