| Description | I have the latest 169.25 nVidia drivers for my 8800GTS 640mb graphics card. I'm using the latest SpeedFan Beta, and was using the 4.33 release version before that. With neither SpeedFan version am i able to detect the temp readings for the 8800GTS. I don't use the onboard fan, so i don't mind no fan control for it, but i really need the temp readings for it. RivaTuner and ATItool are both able to read the 8800GTS temps. Is it the new drivers, or is there some setting i need to change to get it to read my 8800GTS? (I have only installed SpeedFan today, so i have never had the chance to try it on older drivers) Thanks | ||||

Will there be temperature readings for this card anytime soon? Its very hard to control system temperature without being able to set rules for my 8800GTS. Thanks |

Might be a Vista problem. Speedfan is able to read 8800GTS core temperature for quite some time. Works perfectly with my 8800GTS (320MB) on XP. Have you tried running Speedfan as administrator? |

Yeah, might be vista. I never had XP on this machine. Ive run Speedfan as admin, and still the same thing. Picks up my MB, CPU and its cores, and my 2 hard drives. No GPU though. |

Hi, I have an Nvidia 8800GT made by Gigabyte, it also appears to be unsupported by the latest version of Speedfan. It would be nice if I could monitor the temps using Speedfan as the my graphics card fan is actually plugged into a motherboard header which means I could control it automatically rather than manually :) |

Any word on this issue? Is it a vista problem then? Or is it something wrong with my system? Should I be able to see my 8800GTS temps? |

Hi Jiggs Have you sent a report (Infor tab Send Report button) to alfredo? i only ask as my 7600GS wasn't picked up but supported and i use vista also. I sent a report Alfredo fixed something and now i can view the GPU temp again. :) EDIT: Do you have the Ntune software installed can you adjust the GPU Clock and Memory Clock in the NVida control panel as i needed thus installed to get SF to to read temps. (I haent tried running SF without Ntune installed so may not be related, just remember something about it) |

I sent in a report a couple of weeks ago. Im downloading nTune now, thanks for the suggestion. Ill edit the post when its installed. Thanks EDIT: Nope, still can't read the GPU temps. |

i have a Geforce 8600, speedfan 4.35 does show the card as found but also no temperature. Vista x64 |

Have you tried running Speedfan with admin rights? |

by default all runs at admin level, with uac disabled. Easier on the nerves. Speedfan does display the card just like Jiggs 12-23-07. Everest shows the GPU at 55C, but i can't find the corresponding temp value in speedfan. I have a unknown at 25C, invariant so i guess that's a ghost temp. |

I need to buy the hardware. 8xxx and 9xxx are not yet supported by SpeedFan under Vista :-( |

I can confirm that also (4.35 beta 31). ASUS P5Q-Premium and driver 177.79; no GPU temperature. Tried with 3 different OS's: XP x86 - Works XP x64 - Don't work Xista x64 - Don't work |
