Summary | 0001026: Fan speeds adjusted but only when program drops them below 10%
Description | I have looked at articles in the forum but maybe i looked in the wrong place. I need assistance with setting the right Advanced field values to make the percentage decreases relevant for my pc instead of all the speed adjustments taking place from 0-10%. The rpm readings are accurate at all times. I tried loading a config from the database but it made no difference as i think there may be a different chip on that board. I have an Aopen s661fxm-S and tried the -US variant on your database. If we can get this working successfully I will gladly submit my working profile to you.
Steps To Reproduce | Default installation of Speedfan, temp 1 is mainboard and not set to adjust fans and 2 is cpu which i am using to control fan speeds. set to start minimised, debug, ISA and SMBus enabled. Speed1 and 2 automatically adjusted with lower limits of 8% which seems to be roughly 70-80% actual rpm.
Additional Information | fans spin up and down ok as desired temp. limit is exceeded or dropped back below. I think it is related to the PWM output frequencies but wouldnt know where to start with them

Sorry forgot to mention Speedfan detects the system has a Winbond W83697HF chip. |

Resolved by trial and error, kind of. The speeds are adjusted up and down to the lower rpm I require smoothly from 2200rpm at 100% to 1865 at 62% now. Previously this adjustment took place between 7-10% and was too sudden spinning up and too sluggish down from 100%. However if i drop the fan speed manually below 30% now the rpm reading doubles. Presumably this is to do with PWMOUT2 value being incorrect still as I only adjusted value 1. I have set a lower limit of 62% anyway as that seems to suit my chassis as far as temperature control and acoustics go. Old setting: PWMOUT1 clock 93.8KHz, PWMOUT2 clock 3.9 KHz Current setting: PWMOUT1 clock 33.5 Hz PWMOUT2 clock 3.9 KHz PLEASE however let me know, are these clock settings in any way going to screw up my winbond chip? |

Come on, i know you get lots of issues to look through on here but an answer would have been nice by now. |
