I don't think that this can be called a crash. Please, allow for two minutes and let me know if it works. If it works, please, use the SEND REPORT button on the INFO tab and add some NOTES.

Your Right, after about 2 Min it stopped consuming 100% CPU and drew up the window, I sent info as requested. Same behavior with b33

SpeedFan tries to read your video card BIOS, but fails. I will be glad to further investigate this to try to find the best solution.

I believe this is happening with me also. Since enabling a second LCD monitor Speedfan hangs on startup; using 100% of 1 of the cores of my dual core amd CPU. I can kill it and restart and all is fine. I'm going to experiment with a delayed startup of speedfan and see if it bypasses the issue.

btw I'm using beta 36

update: Delaying startup appears to have no effect. It appears to be a problem with a very very slow smb bus scan, /NOSMBSCAN or /NONVIDIA2IC prevents the problem. Restarting speedfan manually after initial boot works fine.

More information: The problem disappears when I enable both monitors of my dual head setup. If I have both hooked up but disable 1 of them I have the scan problems. If I have both hooked up and 1 disabled and the ADT7473 chip is NOT detected all is fine. I don't recall this particular problem occurring in the past. When I get an opportunity I'll try removing my config file and starting with both monitors attached but 1 disabled and see if it changes anything.
