Summary | 0000985: Change fan speed control logic
Description | First of all, thank you for the best speed monitor! Let
Additional Information | Can you slight modify the control logic? I propose 2 variants of rules: First variant: - if any involved temperature rise, rise fan speed - if all involved temperatures are constant, hold fan speed - if any temperature begins fall (and others are constant), slow down fan (for max (k/n, slew_rate) of speed step, there k is number or

My suggestion is not to use hard disk temperature to control fan speeds. When SpeedFan was more aggressive to slow down fan speeds, the result was oscillating speeds. |

I don't see any problem. Just raise the temperature for the disk sensor or uncheck the sensor for this fan like Alfredo said. Speedfan allows 3 different speeds for every fan and all temperatures can be adjusted freely. I can't think of any scenario that would require a change in the current logic. |
