Summary | 0000920: When monitoring HDs temps via SMART, Hdds won't spin down
Description | If SpeedFan is monitoring an HDD temperature via SMART, the disk won't spin down since it gets polled by speedfan, resetting the IDLE timer. I am using speedfan to control the HDDs fan, since I wanted to spind down the fan when the hdds were idling (and thus non spinning and not producing heat) I've noticed that the single disk in my array that I was monitoring won't spin down no matter what I did.. after closing speedfan, it did power down after the right time. Won't be possible to have monitoring active without resetting the activity timer?
Steps To Reproduce | Set hdd monitoring, set spin down time to a low amount.
