Summary0000920: When monitoring HDs temps via SMART, Hdds won't spin down
DescriptionIf SpeedFan is monitoring an HDD temperature via SMART, the disk won't spin down since it gets polled by speedfan, resetting the IDLE timer.
I am using speedfan to control the HDDs fan, since I wanted to spind down the fan when the hdds were idling (and thus non spinning and not producing heat)
I've noticed that the single disk in my array that I was monitoring won't spin down no matter what I did.. after closing speedfan, it did power down after the right time.
Won't be possible to have monitoring active without resetting the activity timer?
Steps To ReproduceSet hdd monitoring, set spin down time to a low amount.
