Summary | 0000855: Systems locks after some time when SpeedFan is running
Description | My system just locks up after SpeedFan has been running for sometime. I have already sent a report using the program itself. If SpeedFan is not running (as it is now), then there is no problem (system uptime is 9:27 hrs as I write this). I dont know where to start to solve this problem. Maybe some commandline parameter, but which one? Please help.

I had the pc up and running (without SpeedFan) for about 24 hrs without any lockup. Then I loaded up SpeedFan with /NOSMARTSCAN switch, but it locked the pc within a couple of hours. Next I will try it with the /NOSUPERIO switch and post the result here. For the record, the I am using an Asus P5B Premium motherboard. |

Edit: I spoke too soon. One hour after I posted this the first time, the system locked up again. So I have removed SpeedFan again from the startup group. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Its been 8 hrs since SpeedFan has been running with the /NOSUPERIO switch and no lockup. What a relief! |
