Summary	0000796: SATA Drives not recognized
Description	My SATA Drives, that are recognized from speedfan on Win XP SP2, are not showing in speedfan on Vista. My only PATA Drive is listed in speedfan on both vista and XP. The SATA drives work perfectly on vista without installing thirdparty drivers. they are listed in device manager (attached screenshot) but not found by speedfan.
Steps To Reproduce	Start Vista, run speedfan.

stormy13 2007-02-26 20:08 reporter ~0002358	Actually it is the drivers. I can get the same thing with my Seagate 250 gb SATAII drive on a JMicron controller (Asrock Dual SATA2 motherboard). If I use the drivers from Asrock's site (2.07) Speedfan and any other program that monitors temps will report/show the hard drive temps. If I use any other JMicron driver the drive shows up in Device Manager just fine like yours does, but nothing will report/show the temps (or SMART data for that matter).

alfredo 2008-05-11 16:24 manager ~0003528	This is an old issue. Under Vista, RUN AS ADMIN is currently needed. On Vista 64 the drivers need to be updated on some occasions.
