Summary0000792: SpeedFan changing fan speed to 100% coming out of standby or hibernation
DescriptionBasically I am trying to use SpeedFan as a monitoring tool only even though I know it does a lot more than that. :) I do not want SpeedFan to make any changes to the fan speeds. I currently have a desklet/widget on my desktop that is displaying the CPU temp and Fan speed (RPM). It is pulling the data from SpeedFan hence why I need it running in the background. However, when I have Speedfan running, everytime I come out of standby or hiberation, the fans kicks in full speed. Speedfan reports it as running 100%. I can manually adjust it but it is a little annoying. I will have to reboot the PC w/o Speedfan running before it goes back to "normal".

My question is what are the settings needed to have SpeedFan to not mess with the settings? I tried a variety of ways but had no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)

I also want to say that I tried a few suggestions on other bug reports like setting PWN mode to Software Controlled...however I do not have that option on the drop down list. Closest I have is Manually Controlled but that does not work.
