Summary | 0000663: Windows hangs on clock speed changes
Description | Windows freezes/hangs when Speedfan adjusts my clock speed between 133Mhz and 166Mhz. I'm able to select these speeds manualy, and my computer works, and SpeedFan is able to switch back and forth a couple of times but then my computer freezes.
Steps To Reproduce | Just have speedfan select the clock speed automatically.

I forgot to mention I have an Athlon XP 2600+ on a Asus A7N8X-X Mobo. |

Clock control can easily cause such issues. Try to set a different starting frequency in BIOS. It's a matter of testing. On my PC I can easily go from 112 to 166 MHz, but I had to find the most reliable setting in BIOS. |

Thanks for the reply! I changed my memory clock (was on 120% (200MHz)) to 166MHz (same as fsb) and I don't have the problem any more. I'm now running at 110MHz and it works flawlessly. |
